What You'll Be Doing
Lead technical investigations into blockchain transactions, tracing digital assets across distributed networks and DeFi protocols
Analyze smart contracts and decentralized applications to identify patterns tied to illicit finance and cybercrime
Serve as subject-matter expert on cryptocurrency ecosystems, advising investigators and analysts on blockchain methodologies
Develop and refine tools/techniques for tracking crypto transactions across multiple distributed ledger platforms
Collaborate with cross-functional mission teams to translate blockchain data into actionable intelligence
Stay ahead of evolving crypto laundering tactics, DeFi exploits, and web3 fraud schemes
What We're Looking For
Active security clearance (required) with ability to pass additional vetting
Proven experience in blockchain analysis, cryptocurrency tracing, or distributed systems investigation
Strong understanding of smart contracts, decentralized finance mechanics, and crypto wallet structures
Background in cyber-enabled financial crime investigations or digital forensics
Excellent analytical and communication skills, with ability to translate technical blockchain findings for non-technical stakeholders
Self-directed mindset capable of leading technical direction within a mission-focused team
Bonus Points
Familiarity with blockchain analytics platforms (Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Elliptic, etc.)
Experience with multiple distributed ledger protocols beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum
Prior work within federal law enforcement, intelligence, or national security environments
Knowledge of emerging web3 trends, NFT markets, and cross-chain bridge vulnerabilities
