This is a rare opportunity to step into a CTO-level position at a fast-scaling blockchain innovator, Input Output Global, Inc. You'll define the technical vision across IO Labs and its broader portfolio of ventures, blending hands-on engineering leadership with strategic foresight. If you're energized by distributed ledger systems, smart contracts, and the intersection of AI and crypto, this role puts you at the center of it all.
What You'll Be Doing
Set and execute the enterprise-wide engineering strategy across all blockchain and Web3 product lines
Architect scalable, secure, and resilient distributed systems that support DeFi protocols and decentralized applications
Champion AI-first engineering practices, embedding automation and intelligent tooling into development workflows
Cultivate and expand a robust developer ecosystem, fostering adoption of smart contract platforms and open-source tooling
Partner directly with executive leadership and founders to align technology roadmaps with company-wide business objectives
Lead, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering teams across multiple ventures and product verticals
What We're Looking For
Proven track record in a senior engineering leadership role (CTO, VP Engineering, or equivalent) within blockchain or crypto companies
Deep technical fluency in distributed ledger technology, smart contracts, and decentralized protocol design
Hands-on coding background with the ability to dive into architecture decisions, not just manage from a distance
Experience integrating AI/ML tooling into engineering organizations and workflows
Strong executive communication skills and comfort operating at board and investor level
Demonstrated success building and scaling technical teams in high-growth, fast-paced environments
Bonus Points
Direct experience with Cardano, Ethereum, or other major Layer 1/Layer 2 ecosystems
Prior contributions to open-source blockchain protocols or DeFi platforms
Background in formal verification, cryptography, or consensus mechanism design
Experience operating across multiple business units or portfolio companies simultaneously
