What You'll Be Doing
Designing and optimizing custom GPU kernels to accelerate model inference across distributed, high-throughput environments
Collaborating with blockchain engineers to ensure AI systems integrate seamlessly with decentralized infrastructure and smart contract logic
Profiling and eliminating latency bottlenecks in production-grade inference pipelines supporting crypto and DeFi applications
Researching novel quantization, compilation, and hardware-acceleration techniques to push performance limits
Partnering cross-functionally with research scientists and systems engineers to translate theoretical models into production-ready, scalable code
Staying ahead of emerging trends in distributed ledger technology and AI infrastructure to keep Tether's systems industry-leading
What We're Looking For
Strong background in systems programming (C++, CUDA, or similar) with proven kernel-level optimization experience
Deep understanding of GPU architecture, parallel computing, and low-level performance tuning
Experience building or optimizing inference engines for large-scale machine learning workloads
Familiarity with blockchain fundamentals and an appreciation for how distributed systems intersect with AI infrastructure
Strong problem-solving instincts and comfort operating autonomously in a fully remote, globally distributed team
Excellent communication skills to bridge research concepts with engineering execution

Experience with compiler optimization frameworks (TVM, XLA, Triton, etc.)
Prior exposure to crypto, web3, or DeFi infrastructure projects
Published research or open-source contributions in ML systems or high-performance computing
