About This Role
We're searching for a research-driven AI Research Engineer to architect and pre-train next-generation Large Language Models and Multi-Modal systems. What You'll Be Doing
Lead large-scale pre-training runs for LLM and Multi-Modal architectures across distributed, multi-node GPU clusters
Design and prototype novel model architectures, tokenizers, and cross-modal alignment techniques
Curate, align, and optimize multi-modal datasets spanning text, vision, and audio
Diagnose and resolve pre-training bottlenecks to push cross-modal performance beyond current benchmarks
Collaborate with distributed systems engineers to ensure efficient use of compute infrastructure supporting both AI and blockchain workloads
Translate cutting-edge research into production-grade models that power Tether's crypto, data, and fintech products
What We're Looking For
Proven expertise in LLM and Multi-Modal architecture design and pre-training optimization
Hands-on experience training models at scale on distributed GPU infrastructure
Strong research instincts with a track record of implementing novel algorithms and techniques
Deep understanding of data strategy, curation, and alignment for multi-modal systems
Excellent English communication skills for collaborating across a globally distributed, remote-first team
Comfort operating in a fast-paced, lean environment typical of innovative blockchain and tech organizations
