Assistant Controller, Crypto Fund Finance (VC) (Menlo Park)

What You'll Be Doing
Own daily cash management and treasury operations across traditional and crypto-denominated accounts
Oversee reconciliation and reporting of digital asset transactions, including token transfers and DeFi-related activity
Partner with portfolio companies, auditors, and investors to ensure transparent, accurate fund reporting
Support month-end and quarter-end close processes for crypto fund vehicles
Collaborate cross-functionally with investment, legal, and operations teams on blockchain-based fund structures
Help build and refine internal controls suited to the evolving world of decentralized finance
What We're Looking For
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting background
Demonstrated understanding of cryptocurrency accounting, custody, and transaction processes
Familiarity with fund finance operations within venture capital or asset management
Strong analytical skills and comfort navigating ambiguity in a rapidly evolving crypto landscape
Excellent communication skills for working with internal teams and external investor stakeholders
High attention to detail and a commitment to financial accuracy in a digital-asset-first environment
Bonus Points
Prior exposure to smart contracts, token economics, or on-chain reporting tools
CPA license or equivalent professional certification
Experience with crypto-native accounting platforms or blockchain analytics software
Background working within a crypto-native VC or web3-focused investment firm
