About This Role
This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of traditional venture capital and emerging technology frontiers, including blockchain, decentralized applications, and crypto-native business models. You'll gain exposure to over 100 portfolio companies while helping shape investment theses around distributed ledger technology, smart contracts, and the broader Web3 ecosystem. What You'll Be Doing
Source and evaluate early-stage investment opportunities across enterprise tech and Web3/Gaming verticals
Conduct deep-dive diligence on blockchain protocols, DeFi infrastructure, and decentralized platforms
Build financial models and market analyses to assess crypto and traditional SaaS business viability
Support portfolio companies by connecting founders to Microsoft's technical and go-to-market resources
Collaborate with senior investors to craft investment memos and present recommendations to the team
Track emerging trends in distributed systems, smart contract platforms, and decentralized finance
What We're Looking For
1-3 years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, management consulting, or startup operations
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with comfort evaluating early-stage companies
Genuine curiosity about blockchain, crypto, and decentralized technologies alongside enterprise software
Excellent written and verbal communication for engaging founders and internal stakeholders
Self-starter mentality with the ability to manage multiple deal processes simultaneously
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, computer science, or related field
Bonus Points
Prior exposure to Web3, DeFi protocols, or crypto-native investment theses
Technical fluency in smart contracts or distributed ledger architecture
Network within the gaming, blockchain, or cybersecurity startup ecosystems
Experience working directly with founders or portfolio support functions
