Blockchain Developer
About This Role
This is an exciting opportunity to design and develop cutting-edge blockchain solutions, from smart contracts to core infrastructure modifications. You'll collaborate with researchers and other developers to tackle novel problems and contribute to mission-critical software products.
What You'll Be Doing
Architecting and building solutions, including smart contracts and blockchain infrastructure modifications
Developing software and designing systems in collaboration with researchers and developers
Evaluating techniques and exploring existing tools to augment functionality
Identifying and fixing issues to ensure the smooth operation of blockchain systems
Participating in sprint planning, creating tickets, implementing features, and testing code
Conducting and participating in code reviews to ensure robust and reliable software
Developing and maintaining blockchain-related software products
Operating blockchain networks and troubleshooting outages
Participating in an on-call rotation schedule
What We're Looking For
Background in Computer Science or a related field
2-3 years of development experience; partial experience in Solidity, Rust, GoLang, or other blockchain languages
Basic understanding of blockchains and Ethereum
Hands-on experience with development tooling (build systems, package managers, unit testing, CI pipelines)
Ability to develop software, implement mission-critical features, and navigate large codebases
Experience with and ability to conduct code reviews
Strong ability to work effectively in a team environment
Fluency in Git and GitHub
Ability to follow agile development processes
Attention to detail and ability to produce production-level code
Proactive approach to work, taking initiative to define and complete tasks
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently
Habit of implementing thorough unit tests
Highly detail-oriented mindset and willingness to learn
Fluent English communication, both written and spoken

Previous work with go-ethereum (geth)
Hands-on experience with developing smart contracts and architecting smart contract protocols
Partial overlap with the EST time zone for team communication
