About This Role
BVNK powers stablecoin and fiat money movement across 130+ countries, and security is foundational to that trust. As our first dedicated security leader in Singapore, you'll design the governance, controls, and risk frameworks that let a crypto-native, blockchain-powered business operate safely within a tightly regulated financial system — with full autonomy to build something from scratch.
What You'll Be Doing
Define and own BVNK's information security strategy for its Singapore entity, aligning local priorities with global distributed systems security standards
Build security governance, policies, and operational controls from the ground up for a regulated digital asset and stablecoin business
Serve as the senior accountable executive for cyber and information security, reporting directly to the Singapore CEO and functionally to the Global CISO
Ensure compliance with MAS technology risk management, cybersecurity, and operational resilience requirements
Establish a robust security risk management framework covering smart contracts, crypto custody, and fiat rails alike
Partner with BVNK's global security organization to localize worldwide standards while addressing Singapore-specific regulatory nuance
What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a CISO or senior security leader within financial services, fintech, or crypto/blockchain environments
Deep familiarity with MAS regulatory expectations around technology risk and operational resilience
Hands-on experience building security programs from the ground up, not just maintaining existing ones
Strong understanding of decentralized infrastructure, digital asset custody, and the unique risk profile of DeFi and stablecoin platforms
Exceptional stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging regulators, executives, and global security teams
A builder's mindset — energized by ambiguity and the opportunity to shape policy from scratch
Bonus Points
Experience securing smart contract infrastructure or digital asset custody platforms
Prior exposure to cross-border payment networks or multi-jurisdictional licensing environments
Familiarity with Web3-native security tooling, threat models, and blockchain forensics
Background working within a scaling fintech or crypto unicorn
