Employment and Compliance Counsel
About This Role
This isn't your average in-house counsel role — you'll be embedded at the intersection of employment law and a rapidly maturing web3 industry. You'll help shape policies and practices that support our people while ensuring the company stays compliant as both domestic and global regulations around crypto and decentralized technology continue to shift. What You'll Be Doing
Advise internal stakeholders on employment law matters across multiple jurisdictions as the company scales its blockchain intelligence operations
Partner with People, HR, and Compliance teams to develop policies that align with evolving labor regulations and the unique dynamics of the crypto industry
Support investigations, disciplinary actions, and workplace compliance matters with sound, risk-based judgment
Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting employment practices within the distributed systems and digital asset space
Draft, review, and negotiate employment-related agreements, policies, and training materials
Collaborate cross-functionally with Corporate Legal to support broader compliance initiatives tied to company growth
What We're Looking For
J.D. and active bar membership in good standing
4+ years of employment law experience, ideally including in-house counsel work
Strong understanding of multi-state and/or international employment compliance
Ability to translate complex legal and regulatory concepts into practical guidance for non-legal teams
Excellent judgment and comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Genuine interest in blockchain, crypto, and decentralized technologies a strong plus
Bonus Points
Prior experience advising companies in web3, fintech, or digital asset industries
Familiarity with smart contracts, DeFi platforms, or blockchain compliance frameworks
Experience supporting global workforce expansion
