About This Role
This is a rare opportunity to build and scale the backbone of a high-performance, crypto-native trading protocol from the ground up. As Head of Infrastructure, you'll shape the systems that connect HFT quant firms, algorithmic traders, and institutional partners to a decentralized bond market operating at blazing speed. You'll have direct influence over architecture decisions that impact tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), stablecoin integrations, and smart contract deployment at scale.
What You'll Be Doing
Architect and own low-latency, highly available infrastructure supporting a 24/7 decentralized trading protocol
Design and optimize systems for smart contract deployment, monitoring, and on-chain/off-chain data pipelines
Lead infrastructure strategy across cloud, hybrid, and distributed ledger environments to support sub-millisecond transaction throughput
Build robust CI/CD pipelines, observability tooling, and incident response protocols tailored for high-stakes DeFi operations
Collaborate closely with protocol engineers, quants, and trading partners to ensure infrastructure scales with market demand
Establish security-first practices across blockchain nodes, APIs, and RWA/stablecoin integration layers
What We're Looking For
7+ years in infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE roles, with demonstrated ownership of mission-critical systems
Hands-on experience with blockchain node operations, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures (AWS/GCP)
Proven track record scaling infrastructure for low-latency, high-throughput applications (fintech, trading, or web3 preferred)
Strong grasp of networking, containerization (Kubernetes/Docker), and infrastructure-as-code
Excellent communicator who can bridge technical infrastructure decisions with business and trading priorities
Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, high-ownership startup environment
Bonus Points
Experience with tokenized asset platforms, stablecoin protocols, or on-chain fixed-income products
Background supporting HFT or algo-trading infrastructure
Familiarity with smart contract auditing, security tooling, or protocol-level monitoring
Exposure to regulatory considerations in institutional DeFi or crypto markets
