About This Role
As part of Mastercard's network, BVNK delivers a stablecoin-powered financial stack that moves fiat and digital assets across 130+ countries. This is a rare opportunity to build and own the risk management backbone for a high-growth entity operating at the intersection of traditional finance and distributed ledger technology—shaping how a regulated crypto business manages risk at scale in APAC.
What You'll Be Doing
Own and evolve the risk management framework for BVNK's Singapore entity, ensuring alignment with both local regulatory expectations and our global risk strategy
Lead the Enterprise Wide Risk Assessment, identifying and mitigating risks tied to stablecoin settlement, smart contracts, and decentralized payment rails
Build and maintain Key Risk Indicators and risk reporting that give leadership real-time visibility into Singapore's risk profile
Provide independent second-line oversight on new products, partnerships, and expansions into DeFi-adjacent markets
Partner cross-functionally with Compliance, Financial Crime, Legal, Product, and Operations to embed a strong risk culture
Engage directly with the Monetary Authority of Singapore and other regulators on risk governance matters
What We're Looking For
Proven senior risk management experience, ideally within fintech, digital assets, or blockchain-regulated environments
Deep understanding of Singapore's regulatory landscape (MAS) and its application to crypto and payments businesses
Hands-on expertise building risk frameworks, RCSAs, KRIs, and risk appetite statements
Strong stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging senior leadership and regulators alike
Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution in a fast-moving, scaling organization
Excellent communication skills to translate complex risk concepts across technical and non-technical teams
Bonus Points
Direct experience with stablecoins, crypto custody, or distributed ledger-based payment infrastructure
Familiarity with Mastercard's global payment networks or similar large-scale financial systems
Prior experience establishing risk functions for newly licensed or scaling entities
