Instructional Designer, TRM Academy
"About The Role"
About This Role
This isn't a typical curriculum-writing gig. You'll transform deep expertise in blockchain forensics, DeFi risk, and financial-crime compliance into assessment-backed courses that hold up under regulatory scrutiny. You'll use AI to build faster than traditional instructional design allows—while personally owning the accuracy every learner, agency, and institution depends on.
What You'll Be Doing
Architect learning pathways—self-paced courses, live sessions, scenario-based assessments—for investigators, compliance officers, regulators, and crypto-industry professionals
Own the certification review cycle: route content to subject-matter experts, verify every figure and citation, and refresh courses the moment underlying blockchain or regulatory intelligence shifts
Coach internal experts to translate raw knowledge into polished courses, hands-on labs, and trainer toolkits for live delivery
Co-manage product documentation and onboarding training across TRM's distributed ledger intelligence platforms, keeping pace with every release
Run multilingual localization workflows—draft, native review, SME sign-off—without sacrificing technical or regulatory precision
Build reusable AI-powered workflows for content generation and verification, tracking both build-time savings and real learner outcomes beyond simple completions
What We're Looking For
3-5+ years designing instructional content or curricula for adult learners, with a portfolio of published, assessment-driven courses
Hands-on LMS experience and skill writing valid assessments and item banks
Proven ability to convert complex technical material into clear curriculum—blockchain, crypto, DeFi, or financial-crime compliance knowledge is a major advantage
Daily, production-level fluency with AI tools for drafting content, generating assessments, and accelerating research
Readiness to build and scale reusable AI workflows that teammates adopt, while owning the human verification layer
Outstanding written communication and a history of owning projects end-to-end as sole accountable lead
Bonus Points
Direct experience training law enforcement, compliance teams, or financial institutions on crypto or distributed systems topics
Familiarity with smart contracts, on-chain investigation tools, or Web3 ecosystem fundamentals
Background in regulatory or certification-exam development
