What You'll Be Doing
Design and build a matching and trading system supporting unified accounts across Perpetual, Spot, and Prediction Market products, including the on-chain matching engine, margin validation, settlement logic, and liquidation/risk engines (auto-deleveraging, ADL priority, insurance fund mechanisms, etc.).
Build and optimize the core capabilities of ExchangeOS: the framework and infrastructure that allow KYC-verified institutions and Web3 projects to create and operate their own trading venues (DEX) through staking.
Drive full-stack performance optimization, including parallel transaction execution, low-latency matching pipelines, and throughput/latency improvements at both the engine and chain layers.
Track cutting-edge high-performance trading chain architectures (such as Hyperliquid, dYdX, and other high-performance perpetual DEXs) and apply best practices to our in-house infrastructure.
Work with product and business teams to translate trading venue/exchange requirements into technical solutions and provide ongoing technical support.
What We're Looking For
Strong proficiency in Rust, with hands-on experience building high-performance, low-latency systems; experience with parallel transaction execution or concurrent engine development is a plus.
Deep understanding of exchange/matching engine mechanics: order book design, margin systems, liquidation and ADL, settlement, and risk engines; familiarity with perpetual contracts, spot trading, or prediction markets is preferred.
Solid blockchain fundamentals, including consensus mechanisms, P2P networking, and cryptography; experience reading the core code of major public chains or L2s (such as Ethereum, Optimism, Arbitrum) or high-performance L1s (such as Hyperliquid, Solana) is a plus, though not a core requirement for this role.
Strong systems performance optimization mindset, including profiling and memory/allocator tuning, with the ability to architect for sub-millisecond latency scenarios.
Good teamwork, communication, and logical thinking skills, with strong interest in trading systems and blockchain technology.
