This is a rare opportunity to drive technical strategy at the intersection of traditional finance and web3 innovation. You'll own end-to-end architecture for public-chain connectivity within Payments & Global Banking Technology, designing distributed systems that power secure, enterprise-grade interactions with crypto networks and DeFi-adjacent platforms. Your decisions will directly influence how one of the world's largest financial institutions engages with the decentralized ecosystem.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead architecture and hands-on engineering for Kinexys product integrations across public blockchain networks
Design and implement secure, scalable solutions linking enterprise infrastructure with distributed ledger technology and digital asset platforms
Build and maintain smart contract interfaces, on-chain data pipelines, and cross-chain communication protocols
Set technical direction and best practices for blockchain engineering across the broader team
Collaborate with product, compliance, and security teams to ensure robust, audit-ready blockchain solutions
Mentor engineers and evangelize distributed systems expertise throughout the organization
What We're Looking For
Extensive experience architecting and delivering production-grade blockchain or distributed ledger systems
Deep hands-on expertise with smart contracts, public blockchain protocols, and crypto-native tooling
Proven track record leading complex, large-scale engineering initiatives in a senior or principal capacity
Strong understanding of security, scalability, and compliance considerations unique to decentralized technology
Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts across engineering, product, and leadership
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
Bonus Points
Direct experience with DeFi protocols, digital asset custody, or tokenization platforms
Contributions to open-source blockchain projects or public protocol development
Background integrating enterprise systems with Ethereum, public layer-1/layer-2 networks, or similar ecosystems
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks impacting institutional crypto and blockchain adoption

$204,250 - $285,000
