As our Senior Design System Designer, you'll be the architect behind the consistency and scalability that lets our product teams ship premium, trustworthy experiences across a rapidly evolving distributed ledger ecosystem — all while collaborating with a team that moves fast and thinks big.
What You'll Be Doing
Co-own and evolve Bitpanda's design system — crafting components, tokens, and patterns that scale across crypto, DeFi, and traditional asset experiences
Lead end-to-end design system initiatives, partnering closely with engineers and product teams building blockchain-driven features
Translate complex business, accessibility, and user requirements into intuitive, reusable design solutions
Strengthen internal design operations, tooling, and frameworks to accelerate how teams build and maintain smart, consistent interfaces
Mentor fellow designers, championing design system adoption and best practices across cross-functional web3 product squads
Drive documentation standards that make design systems easy to implement across distributed teams
What We're Looking For
5+ years working within design systems or closely collaborating with product and engineering teams on scalable UI frameworks
Deep technical fluency in design systems — tokens, component libraries, and governance at scale
Strong generalist UX/UI skills with the ability to execute high-quality work quickly and autonomously
Proficiency with Figma, Miro, JIRA, and modern collaborative design workflows
Experience designing for complex, data-rich platforms — fintech, crypto, or decentralized applications a plus
Excellent communication skills to align stakeholders across design, engineering, and product in a fast-paced environment
Bonus Points
Prior experience designing for blockchain, crypto exchanges, or DeFi platforms
Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices at scale
Experience contributing to open-source or widely-adopted design system frameworks
Understanding of smart contract-driven product flows or Web3 UX patterns
