Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Trading Systems

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you'll architect the low-latency systems that make seamless digital asset execution possible—work that directly impacts how capital flows through the decentralized economy. This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants their fingerprints on infrastructure powering real crypto trading volume at scale.
What You'll Be Doing
Architect and maintain ultra-low latency network topologies across AWS and hybrid environments, including VPCs and exchange connectivity gateways for crypto and traditional markets
Fine-tune Linux kernels and compute resources using CPU isolation, cluster placement groups, and enhanced networking to shave microseconds off trade execution
Build and evolve infrastructure-as-code pipelines with Terraform and Ansible to support rapid, repeatable deployments
Scale platform capacity to support expanding market-making operations and growing convergence between crypto exchanges and TradFi venues
Design observability and telemetry pipelines using Grafana Cloud and Alloy to maintain real-time visibility into distributed trading systems
Serve as a technical leader—mentoring engineers, driving infrastructure roadmap decisions, and acting as escalation point during critical incidents
What We're Looking For
5+ years in Infrastructure, Systems Engineering, or SRE roles within low-latency electronic trading environments
Deep Linux internals knowledge, including kernel tuning, memory management, and network I/O optimization
Proven experience with AWS low-latency architecture: placement groups, enhanced networking, and high-performance compute tuning
Hands-on exposure to FIX protocol, Aeron messaging, or colocation connectivity for trading infrastructure
Familiarity with HFT workflows or crypto exchange API integrations
Strong command of Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure automation and configuration management
Bonus Points
Scripting fluency in Python/Bash, with Rust or Java development experience a plus
Exposure to hardware acceleration (FPGAs, SmartNICs) or custom network driver tuning
Knowledge of PTP/IEEE 1588 clock synchronization for high-precision trade timestamping in crypto and DeFi trading contexts
