About This Role
As a Senior iOS Engineer on this team, you'll design and build performant mobile experiences that support real-time data, sophisticated trading flows, and highly reliable execution. You'll partner closely with product, design, and backend engineering to deliver intuitive tools for serious traders, while helping raise the technical bar across the team through strong architecture, execution, and mentorship.
What You'll Be Doing
Design and implement scalable iOS application architecture supporting advanced crypto trading experiences used by Robinhood's most active investors
Partner with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and data teams to deliver fast, reliable, and intuitive pro-grade trading tools on mobile
Improve application performance, real-time data handling, observability, and release stability across core crypto trading workflows
Lead technical planning and provide guidance during system design reviews, implementation discussions, and incident resolution efforts for high-stakes trading features
Mentor iOS engineers through code reviews, technical feedback, and structured development support, while contributing to engineering standards and documentation
What We're Looking For
6+ years of professional experience developing iOS applications
Extensive experience building and maintaining large-scale iOS applications using Swift and modern iOS development frameworks
Experience designing mobile systems with clear architecture patterns, scalable component design, and maintainable testing strategies, particularly for data-intensive or real-time use cases
Ability to collaborate effectively with product, design, backend, and infrastructure partners to deliver customer-focused technical solutions
Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple teams, balancing short-term delivery needs with long-term platform improvements
Clear communication skills, with the ability to translate complex trading concepts into intuitive mobile experiences
This position is restricted to US citizens or lawful permanent residents
