About This Role
The Accounting team provides the rest of the organization with in-depth guidance on financial results, delivering insights that inform decisions ranging from daily operations to long-term strategy. Within Accounting, the Revenue team ensures Paxos's revenue is accurately billed, recognized and reported across its products and legal entities, working through complex accounting questions amid new regulations, technologies and business models — supporting Paxos's broader mission of building a more open and inclusive financial system.
What You'll Be Doing
Preparing and reviewing monthly revenue accruals, journal entries and supporting schedules as part of month-end close
Reconciling billing, invoicing and revenue data across systems and resolving variances
Supporting review of customer contracts and applying ASC 606 to determine proper revenue treatment
Preparing revenue flux analysis and explaining month-over-month changes
Supporting external audit requests and preparing revenue-related workpapers
Helping maintain revenue accounting policies, process documentation and internal controls
Identifying manual processes and helping redesign them for scale, including through automation and AI tools
Partnering with cross-functional teams to understand new products and pricing and their accounting impact
Immersing yourself in blockchain technology, stablecoins and enterprise crypto infrastructure, and in Paxos's regulation-first approach
For those with fewer than 4 years of relevant work experience, this is a hybrid role based in the New York City Midtown office, with in-office attendance required
What We're Looking For
3+ years of combined experience in public accounting (audit) and/or in-house accounting, with a focus on revenue
Hands-on experience applying ASC 606, including variable consideration, minimums and usage-based fees
A bachelor's degree in accounting and strong knowledge of US GAAP; a CPA or progress toward one is preferred
Month-end close experience in NetSuite or another major ERP
Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills, with experience building or maintaining reconciliation and accrual workbooks
Experience using AI tools to improve accuracy or efficiency in accounting work
Excellent organizational, communication and cross-functional skills
Bonus Points

Salary Range
USD 113,000 - 129,675 per year
