This is a rare opportunity to sit at the intersection of smart contracts, economic security, and distributed systems architecture. As a Senior Security Engineer focused on DeFi, you'll be the frontline defense protecting billions in value flowing through decentralized protocols built on Sui. You'll work at the cutting edge of crypto security, where no two days look the same.
What You'll Be Doing
Hunt for vulnerabilities across smart contracts and DeFi protocols before bad actors do
Design and build sophisticated monitoring tools to detect on-chain threats in real time
Conduct deep economic risk assessments of decentralized protocols and their incentive structures
Partner with external protocol teams building on Sui to harden their security posture
Collaborate cross-functionally with Mysten Labs engineering teams to strengthen platform-wide defenses
Stay ahead of emerging attack vectors and exploit patterns across the broader web3 landscape
What We're Looking For
Proven experience securing smart contracts, DeFi protocols, or other blockchain-based systems
Strong understanding of distributed ledger architecture and consensus mechanisms
Hands-on experience identifying and remediating vulnerabilities in decentralized applications
Solid grasp of economic attack vectors common in crypto and DeFi ecosystems
Excellent communication skills for working with external protocol partners and internal teams
Self-starter mentality with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving web3 environment
Bonus Points
Experience with Move programming language or other smart contract languages
Prior work securing Layer 1 blockchains or high-throughput distributed systems
Familiarity with on-chain monitoring and alerting infrastructure
Active involvement in bug bounty programs or security research communities
