About This Role
This is a hands-on, high-impact individual contributor position for someone who wants deep technical ownership rather than just a seat at the table. As the authority on key management and custody security architecture, you'll shape how our organization secures digital assets across distributed ledger platforms, directly influencing the risk posture of mission-critical crypto infrastructure.
What You'll Be Doing
Architect and harden key management systems protecting digital assets across custody platforms
Set technical direction for blockchain security engineering, including smart contracts review and wallet infrastructure
Own the end-to-end risk posture of client-facing crypto custody systems
Partner with engineering, compliance, and product teams to embed security into every layer of the decentralized asset lifecycle
Evaluate and implement cryptographic protocols, HSM integrations, and multi-party computation solutions
Lead incident response and threat modeling specific to digital asset custody and web3 attack vectors
What We're Looking For
Proven experience securing blockchain or crypto custody infrastructure in production environments
Deep understanding of key management, cryptography, and secure wallet architecture
Hands-on expertise with HSMs, MPC, or multi-sig custody solutions
Strong grasp of smart contracts security and common DeFi exploit patterns
Ability to operate independently as a technical leader without heavy managerial oversight
Excellent communication skills to translate complex security concepts across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Bonus Points
Experience with distributed systems security audits or penetration testing in crypto environments
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing digital asset custodians
Contributions to open-source blockchain security tooling
Background working with institutional-grade crypto exchanges or custodians
