Senior Security Engineer
About This Role
Join a lean, high-leverage security team working at the intersection of fintech and distributed ledger technology. This isn't a siloed compliance role—you'll be a hands-on builder shaping how we secure smart contracts, customer data, and cloud infrastructure while pioneering AI-driven security operations in a regulated crypto environment.
What You'll Be Doing
Architect security solutions spanning product, application, infrastructure, and enterprise systems supporting our blockchain-based financial products
Run threat modeling exercises for new decentralized features and existing systems alike
Embed security directly into engineering workflows, partnering with teams building our Bitcoin and web3 infrastructure
Build and automate detection, alerting, and incident response pipelines—leveraging AI agents to scale security coverage
Join the on-call rotation and help lead incident response when it matters most
Drive compliance initiatives (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI) that keep our crypto platform audit-ready
Mentor engineers across the org on security best practices and distributed systems risk
What We're Looking For
5+ years in security or software engineering, ideally touching cloud infrastructure, fintech, or crypto/blockchain systems
Proven experience designing scalable security controls in fast-moving, product-driven environments
Comfort working across the full stack—application security, cloud security, and observability
An AI-forward mindset: you actively use AI tools and automation to multiply your impact, not just talk about it
Strong communicator who can partner with engineering, risk, and compliance stakeholders
Experience participating in incident response and on-call rotations
Bonus Points
Direct experience securing smart contracts, custody systems, or decentralized infrastructure
Familiarity with DeFi protocols, crypto custody, or digital asset regulatory frameworks
Background in building or tuning AI-powered detection and response systems
Experience in a regulated financial services or investment dealer environment
