Senior Software Engineer - Settlement
About Cari
The Cari Network is building a blockchain-based payment system powering real-time, 24/7 movement of digital money across the traditional finance and digital asset ecosystems. A pre-launch startup, we're creating an entirely new category of financial infrastructure that brings cash on chain through tokenization while powering the full spectrum of payments for our network - banks and most importantly, the customers they serve.
About the Role
You will own major parts of the Cari platform end to end - the management dashboards our bank partners use, the TypeScript services behind them, interbank settlement workflows, and the integrations that connect us to bank systems and third-party platforms.
This is a generalist role on a small team. You'll move across the stack, take on the highest-leverage problem each quarter, and support services running in production. You'll work closely with product, design, DevOps, and partner-facing teams to make the Cari experience fast to adopt, secure, and reliable for bank partners.
What You'll Do
Build and evolve our bank-facing management dashboard: bank onboarding, user and role management (RBAC), transaction monitoring, settlement operations, interbank book transfer tracking, and developer tooling such as API keys and webhooks.
Design and ship the TypeScript backend services that power those experiences - orchestration, bank, transaction, bilateral netting, and settlement APIs.
Build and maintain integrations with bank partners and third-party platforms, including provider adapters, webhook-driven flows, and real-time event updates.
Model and evolve the PostgreSQL schemas behind core banking entities, with the correctness and auditability of financial data demands.
Raise the engineering bar: automated testing, CI/CD, observability, release engineering, and deployment practices in collaboration with DevOps that let a small team ship safely and often.
Work with product and design to turn tokenization complexity into familiar banking primitives rather than crypto concepts.
Write the documentation, integration guides, and reference implementations that let bank partners adopt Cari without hand-holding.
