About This Role
As a Staff Full Stack Engineer, you'll be one of the earliest technical voices shaping a lean, high-impact engineering team of four. This is a rare opportunity to influence architecture decisions, define engineering culture, and build a DeFi-native platform from near-scratch—backed by seed funding with a larger round on the horizon.
What You'll Be Doing
Architect and ship backend systems (roughly 50-100% of your time) that power decentralized financial products and crypto-asset management tools
Design and implement smart contract integrations that connect distributed ledger technology to user-facing wealth management features
Build responsive, intuitive front-end experiences that make complex DeFi mechanics accessible to everyday users
Collaborate directly with founders and fellow engineers to set technical direction and engineering best practices
Own features end-to-end—from backend logic and API design to blockchain interactions and deployment
Help establish scalable infrastructure that can support rapid growth as the platform expands
What We're Looking For
6+ years of full stack engineering experience, with strong backend proficiency
Hands-on experience building production systems involving blockchain, smart contracts, or crypto protocols
Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving startup environments with minimal oversight
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset within a small, tight-knit team
Proven ability to make sound architectural decisions and mentor junior engineers
Genuine passion for decentralized finance and the future of distributed financial systems
Bonus Points
Direct experience with DeFi protocols, DEXs, or on-chain wealth management tools
Familiarity with Solidity, EVM-compatible chains, or Web3 libraries
Background in fintech or traditional wealth management platforms
Experience scaling engineering teams from the ground up at an early-stage startup
