About This Role
As a Transaction Monitoring Analyst, you'll sit at the intersection of compliance and crypto innovation, scrutinizing fiat and digital asset transactions to detect financial crime before it threatens our ecosystem. What You'll Be Doing
Investigate transaction monitoring alerts across crypto and fiat rails, identifying suspicious patterns tied to money laundering or terrorist financing
Apply a risk-based methodology to assess unusual wallet and account activity on a high-volume digital asset exchange
Escalate high-risk cases swiftly to AML Investigators and Compliance leadership, ensuring regulatory obligations are met
Partner cross-functionally with Product and Compliance teams to refine detection rules and strengthen monitoring systems
Contribute to regulatory reporting, documentation, and audit-readiness for crypto compliance frameworks
Continuously enhance investigative processes as blockchain transaction typologies evolve
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in transaction monitoring, AML investigations, or financial crime compliance, ideally within crypto, fintech, or banking
Solid understanding of blockchain fundamentals, crypto wallets, and how decentralized transactions differ from traditional finance
Familiarity with AML/CFT regulations, sanctions screening, and suspicious activity reporting
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex transaction data into clear conclusions
Excellent written communication for case documentation and regulatory correspondence
Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced crypto environment across LATAM or APAC hours
Bonus Points
Certifications such as CAMS, CFE, or equivalent AML/financial crime credentials
Hands-on experience investigating DeFi protocols, smart contracts, or on-chain analytics tools (Chainalysis, Elliptic, etc.)
Prior exposure to a licensed crypto exchange or digital asset compliance program
