    "What You'll Be Doing"

    About This Role

The role initially focuses on investments and financial reporting, but will increasingly shift toward digital asset accounting as you build relevant knowledge and experience. Prior digital asset experience isn't required — strong accounting judgement, curiosity and willingness to learn are what matter most.

    What You'll Be Doing

Manage accounting for a portfolio of investments, including fund interests, private equity, loans and other financial instruments as applicable

Review investment agreements to determine accounting treatment, recognition, classification and measurement, escalating significant judgements to the Financial Controller

Maintain investment registers and supporting schedules covering commitments, capital calls, distributions, income, disposals and outstanding balances

Prepare and review valuations, fair value movements, impairment assessments and supporting documentation, working with investment teams, fund administrators and external specialists

Reconcile investment records against statements and the general ledger, investigate discrepancies, and prepare portfolio reporting and financial statement disclosures

Coordinate assigned areas of the monthly, quarterly and annual close, preparing and reviewing journals, reconciliations and supporting schedules

Support group reporting, intercompany reconciliations, consolidation and preparation of financial statements under the applicable reporting framework, including IFRS

Prepare analysis for management and board reporting, explaining material movements and accounting judgements clearly

Act as a key point of contact for external auditors on assigned areas, providing complete working papers and resolving queries promptly

Strengthen accounting policies, documentation and review controls, and improve processes to support a growing and evolving organisation

Work closely with finance, investment, legal and operational colleagues to ensure transactions are understood and recorded accurately

Review work prepared by other team members where assigned, offering constructive guidance and maintaining clear ownership of deadlines

Build practical knowledge of digital assets, blockchain transactions, wallets, custody arrangements, staking and decentralised finance

Progressively take on responsibility for digital asset reconciliations, transaction analysis and accounting alongside experienced colleagues

Help assess the accounting treatment of token investments, token receipts and other digital asset arrangements, documenting the substance of transactions

Contribute to improvements in digital asset accounting systems, data quality, valuation processes and controls as this becomes a core focus of the role

    What We're Looking For

Qualified accountant with a recognised designation such as ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent

Demonstrated experience in investment accounting, fund accounting or financial reporting for investment portfolios, in practice or industry

Strong understanding of financial instruments, fair value measurement and financial reporting under IFRS or a comparable framework

Experience managing close deliverables, preparing or reviewing reconciliations and working papers, and supporting external audits

Strong Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret agreements and explain complex accounting matters clearly

A proactive, collaborative approach, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing deadlines with appropriate independence

A clear interest in learning digital asset accounting and developing into a role with a substantial digital asset focus

    Bonus Points

Exposure to private investments, alternative funds, complex investment structures or group consolidation

Experience with IFRS, NetSuite or accounting process improvements

Familiarity with blockchain, digital assets or specialist crypto accounting platforms, though not required

    Salary Range

    USD 9,000 - 10,000 per month
