Backend Java Engineer - Kazakhstan/Russian speaker
What You'll Be Doing
Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for global products using Java.
Build a high-performance, highly available, and secure backend system that robustly supports BigPay Fiat business operations.
Engage in and improve the full lifecycle of services, from inception and design through deployment, operation, and refinement.
Develop and maintain tools, and redesign capacity planning infrastructure for greater scalability.
Troubleshoot and diagnose software issues, fix them, and ensure data security and end-to-end system architecture integrity.
What We're Looking For
Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development and architecture.
Strong expertise in Java and backend frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, RESTful APIs).
Experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ), and microservices architecture.
In-depth understanding of Linux and computer networks.
Experience profiling, benchmarking, and optimizing ML applications.
Ability to speak English and Kazakh/Russian, required to coordinate with external Kazakhstan business partners and stakeholders.
Bonus Points
Java code development experience, preferably as an Apache open source project developer.
Experience in high availability, high performance, and resource optimization.
