This isn't a theoretical advisory gig — it's a hands-on, technically rigorous role for someone who understands blockchain systems from the protocol layer up. You'll work at the intersection of distributed systems engineering and strategic consulting, guiding decisions on infrastructure, scalability, and smart contract design. It's an exceptional opportunity to influence how decentralized applications and crypto-native systems are architected and scaled.
What You'll Be Doing
Advise on blockchain architecture decisions spanning consensus algorithms, Layer 1 base chains, and Layer 2 scaling solutions
Evaluate and optimize rollup designs, transaction processing pipelines, and EVM-compatible infrastructure
Write and review smart contracts, ensuring security, efficiency, and alignment with DeFi and decentralized application standards
Build and prototype agentic tooling and backend systems using Rust or Go
Collaborate with engineering, product, and leadership teams to translate complex distributed systems concepts into actionable strategy
Stay ahead of emerging trends across crypto infrastructure, interoperability protocols, and blockchain scalability research
What We're Looking For
Deep understanding of blockchain fundamentals — consensus mechanisms, distributed systems design, and Layer 1/Layer 2 trade-offs
Hands-on agentic development experience with Rust or Go in production or research environments
Working proficiency in Python and Solidity for smart contract development and scripting
Solid grasp of EVM architecture, rollup mechanics, and on-chain transaction processing
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical blockchain concepts for non-technical stakeholders
Self-directed, analytical mindset suited for consulting-style engagements in fast-moving crypto environments
Bonus Points
Prior experience consulting for DeFi protocols, Layer 2 networks, or blockchain infrastructure providers
Familiarity with zero-knowledge proofs, rollup frameworks, or cross-chain interoperability solutions
Contributions to open-source blockchain or web3 projects
Experience evaluating tokenomics or protocol governance models
