About This Role
This isn't a "write-and-forget" smart contract role — you'll architect decentralized systems that power Real World Asset (RWA) tokenization across multiple blockchain ecosystems. You'll obsess over what happens after deployment: security monitoring, upgrade safety, and tooling that empowers non-technical teammates to manage on-chain state with confidence. What You'll Be Doing
Architect smart contract systems spanning new chain deployments, DeFi interoperability, bridging solutions, and decentralized protocols — with security and maintainability baked in from day one
Safeguard contracts across their entire lifecycle, including upgrade paths, admin controls, and operational guardrails that keep distributed systems resilient as they evolve
Build automation and internal tooling that lets non-engineers safely view, monitor, and manage on-chain operations without touching raw scripts
Bridge smart contract architecture with web, product, legal, and compliance teams to ensure designs are technically sound and regulatorily aligned
Partner with senior engineers and leadership on high-impact blockchain initiatives, driving decisions that balance speed with long-term system integrity
What We're Looking For
3+ years of software engineering experience, with 1+ years in blockchain engineering, ideally at a live, multi-chain DeFi protocol
Strong command of Solidity; exposure to non-EVM smart contract languages (Solana a plus)
Demonstrated experience designing full systems — not just contracts — including tooling, automation, and lifecycle security
Proven track record building and scaling DeFi protocols in production
Python and/or TypeScript skills for building automation and operational tooling
Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical, with sharp judgment on prioritization
Bonus Points
Experience with cross-chain bridging or interoperability protocols
Familiarity with RWA tokenization or institutional-grade DeFi infrastructure
Background contributing to open-source smart contract frameworks
Comfort navigating regulatory and compliance considerations in crypto products
