OP Labs, the core development team behind Optimism, is hiring a Blockchain Solutions Architect to accelerate institutional adoption of decentralized infrastructure. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role sitting at the crossroads of engineering, product, and business development — perfect for someone who thrives on translating complex distributed systems concepts into production-ready smart contract deployments for banks, asset managers, and global enterprises. What You'll Be Doing
Serve as the lead technical liaison for institutional partners navigating pilots, integrations, and production rollouts on the OP Stack
Run deep technical discovery sessions spanning architecture, throughput, security, compliance, and sequencing models
Build and benchmark test environments — devnets, cloud deployments, performance simulations — to validate real-world blockchain performance
Field rigorous technical diligence from regulated institutions including banks, custodians, and system integrators
Convert enterprise feedback into actionable product and engineering roadmap input around compliance tooling, privacy, and DeFi-ready infrastructure
Guide partners through migration paths — from permissioned experimentation to full-scale public or hybrid onchain production
What We're Looking For
5+ years as a Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or Technical Pre-Sales specialist
Deep hands-on experience with Ethereum, EVM-compatible chains, or Layer 2 rollup infrastructure
Strong grasp of blockchain fundamentals — sequencing, finality, smart contracts, rollups, and network operations
Comfort working with cloud infrastructure and production-grade deployment pipelines
Ability to communicate complex distributed systems concepts to both engineers and C-suite stakeholders
Experience engaging regulated institutions — banks, exchanges, asset managers — is highly valued
Bonus Points
Prior work integrating wallets, custody solutions (e.g., Fireblocks), or cloud providers like AWS into blockchain deployments
Familiarity with the broader crypto and DeFi ecosystem, including privacy-preserving architectures
Experience crafting GTM strategy or BD theses across fragmented fintech value chains
Track record of closing 0→1 partnerships independently
