About This Role
As our Brand & Communications Lead, you'll own the public voice of a veteran-founded company trusted by exchanges, regulators, and financial institutions to make sense of blockchain data. This is a rare opportunity to build a communications strategy from the ground up within a company that sits at the intersection of decentralized finance, market surveillance, and counter-illicit finance intelligence — all while working alongside a fully remote, async-first global team.
What You'll Be Doing
Craft and execute a brand strategy that positions Inca Digital as a trusted authority in blockchain analytics and DeFi risk intelligence
Develop compelling content — from press releases to thought leadership — that communicates complex smart contract and distributed ledger concepts to diverse audiences
Manage external communications across media, social platforms, and industry events within the broader crypto ecosystem
Partner cross-functionally with product, data science, and leadership teams to ensure consistent messaging across all touchpoints
Build relationships with journalists, analysts, and influencers covering blockchain, web3, and digital-asset markets
Monitor brand sentiment and competitive positioning across the decentralized finance and regulatory intelligence space
What We're Looking For
5+ years of experience in brand, communications, or PR, ideally within blockchain, fintech, or data intelligence sectors
Proven ability to translate technical concepts around smart contracts, distributed systems, and crypto markets into clear, engaging narratives
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a strong editorial eye
Experience managing external stakeholders, media relationships, and brand campaigns independently
Comfort operating in a remote, async-first environment with global, cross-functional teams
Strategic thinker who can balance long-term brand vision with fast-paced execution
Bonus Points
Existing network of contacts within crypto media, blockchain publications, or web3 communities
Experience communicating for regulatory, compliance, or market-surveillance focused organizations
Familiarity with digital-asset exchanges, DeFi protocols, or counter-illicit finance initiatives
Background working with veteran-owned or government-adjacent organizations
