About This Role
As a senior business development lead at the intersection of DeFi and institutional finance, you'll own the full lifecycle of high-value partnerships that connect blockchain-native vault infrastructure to mainstream capital. This is a builder's role—part strategist, part closer—with a clear path to leading the Growth function as our footprint expands across the distributed finance landscape.
What You'll Be Doing
Drive the entire deal cycle—from discovery and qualification to structuring, negotiation, and close—for Earn partnerships tied to Gauntlet's vault products (Aera, and curated Morpho and Kamino vaults)
Originate greenfield relationships with Tier-1 and Tier-2 fintechs, exchanges, wallets, and DeFi protocols, positioning Gauntlet as first-mover in untapped verticals
Negotiate terms that protect favorable economics, walking away from deals that don't meet the bar
Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Finance to validate and position Gauntlet's smart contract-powered solutions
Own activation post-signature, ensuring signed partners convert into fully live, funded programs
Maintain forecasting accuracy and CRM hygiene across a high-velocity pipeline
Represent Gauntlet at leading web3 and crypto industry events, traveling as needed
What We're Looking For
Proven track record closing complex, high-value partnerships—ideally within crypto, fintech, or decentralized finance
Strong command of blockchain fundamentals, smart contracts, and on-chain yield mechanics
Demonstrated ability to self-source and originate opportunities, not just manage inbound pipeline
Exceptional negotiation instincts paired with sharp commercial judgment
Comfort operating independently in a fast-moving, senior IC capacity
Excellent cross-functional communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Bonus Points
Existing relationships within exchanges, neobanks, or DeFi protocol ecosystems
Familiarity with vault strategies, liquidity routing, or institutional on-chain asset management
Experience scaling a growth or business development function from the ground up
