What You'll Be Doing
Work with the Compliance Officer and MLRO on internal compliance policy reviews, including ongoing assessments, compliance reviews, internal audit reviews, and ad hoc reviews
Track compliance items related to new product/service launches
Handle, review, and verify client onboarding applications within available SLAs
Use compliance applications and programs such as Thomson Reuters, Worldcheck, KYC vendors, and Chainalysis
Work closely with checkers to maintain an effective 2-eye, 4-eye customer due diligence process
Apply knowledge of local and AIFC laws, guidance, regulations, and standards applicable to subject persons, with awareness of upcoming virtual currency regulation considered a strong plus
Conduct risk assessments, periodic/trigger reviews, and enhanced due diligence
Monitor and document unusual activity or AML flags
Participate in internal and external training programs related to AML/CFT and other relevant subjects
Perform general administration and ancillary activities related to the above functions as needed by the business
What We're Looking For
At least 3-5 years of direct experience in a legal or compliance role, with substantial knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, and day-to-day compliance affairs
Fluency in Kazakh, Russian, and English
An undergraduate degree is required; a law degree is a plus
Demonstrated ability to write effectively
Superior organizational skills
Strong communication skills
