Developer Advocate (DevRel)
"What You'll Be Doing"
What You'll Be Doing
Own the change-request (CR) flow: author CRs that alter API behaviour or contract, and serve as the named approver on such CRs, while Junior DevRels handle intake, reproduction, and evidence-gathering.
Propose API improvements based on partner and internal-developer feedback, turning them into structured requests for the Product team.
Provide API and infrastructure advocacy for partners and the broader developer audience.
Act as named approver on any published API claim, owning the correctness of every guide or quickstart that requires a spec read or live call to verify; juniors draft and maintain, this role approves.
Where an AI/agent or hosted surface is involved, own its safety bar, defining what it must not expose.
Keep quickstarts accurate, making hands-on fixes directly while the first line of support ramps up.
Teach and enable Junior DevRels to maintain and update quickstarts and, over time, SDKs.
Maintain depth on partner calls and technical feedback.
Serve as the senior technical escalation point for the Junior/operations first line on subject-matter questions and blocked issues.
What We're Looking For
Senior experience in developer advocacy, or senior technical partner-facing engineering, within crypto, fintech, or a B2B API product.
Deep, hands-on knowledge of REST and WebSocket APIs — able to read specs and confirm behaviour via live calls.
Ability to make hands-on code changes to quickstarts and SDKs, not just review them.
Proven experience authoring change requests and API-improvement proposals from partner and internal-developer feedback, backed by structured evidence.
Credibility in direct technical conversations with partners, able to act as senior escalation for the first line.
Rigor in verifying published API claims against official documentation and live behaviour, distinguishing fact from assumption.
Strong, structured, and concise technical writing skills for both partner-facing and internal audiences.
Ability to mentor and enable junior team members.
Bonus Points
Experience in crypto-exchange or exchange-integration work (market making, custody, payments, on/off-ramp).
Experience owning an SDK or AI/agent surface, including safety review, packaging, or registries.
