As Director of Blockchain and Crypto, you'll shape how a global payments leader engages with digital assets, smart contracts, and decentralized finance—translating cutting-edge web3 concepts into scalable, real-world solutions that touch everyday consumers and enterprises alike.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead strategic initiatives that integrate blockchain and crypto capabilities into core payment products and services
Partner with engineering, product, and compliance teams to evaluate and implement smart contract solutions and DeFi protocols
Build relationships with crypto ecosystem partners, exchanges, and distributed ledger technology providers
Monitor emerging trends across blockchain, web3, and digital asset markets to identify new business opportunities
Present blockchain strategy recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders
Guide cross-functional teams through the complexities of regulatory, technical, and market considerations in crypto
What We're Looking For
Proven experience leading blockchain, crypto, or distributed systems initiatives within a complex organization
Deep understanding of decentralized finance (DeFi), digital assets, and smart contract architecture
Strong track record translating technical blockchain concepts into business strategy
Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in finance, technology, or related field preferred
Experience navigating regulatory frameworks within crypto and fintech industries
Bonus Points
Direct experience with public blockchain networks (Ethereum, Solana, etc.) or enterprise distributed ledger platforms
Familiarity with stablecoins, tokenization, or central bank digital currencies (CBDCs)
Prior experience at a payments company, crypto exchange, or web3 startup
Published thought leadership or speaking engagements in blockchain/crypto spaces
