About This Role
Mesh exists to make any tokenized asset usable for real-world payments, bridging trillions in dormant crypto liquidity into everyday commerce. Backed by Paradigm, Dragonfly, Galaxy, PayPal Ventures and others, we've built the orchestration layer connecting consumers to blockchain-based value. Now AI agents are poised to rewrite how money moves — and Mesh needs a builder-thinker to define what agentic commerce on distributed ledgers actually looks like, from zero.
What You'll Be Doing
Own the agentic commerce agenda at Mesh — every question about autonomous agents, smart contracts, and money movement comes to you
Prototype real, working agents that transact on live blockchain and payment rails — not slide decks, actual code
Embed with emerging protocol communities, standards bodies, and web3 builders shaping how agents will pay and get paid
Recruit customers from Mesh's network to pressure-test hypotheses on real decentralized finance and payment infrastructure
Translate validated experiments into concrete product bets, partnering directly with the SVP of Product
Represent Mesh at hackathons, working groups, and the frontier conversations where agentic commerce standards are being written
What We're Looking For
A track record of building something real without a roadmap — an early-stage startup, an agent that trades or transacts, a side project people actually used
Hands-on technical ability: you can wire together APIs, smart contracts, and AI tooling into a working prototype yourself
Strong opinions, loosely held — you form hypotheses fast, test them against evidence, and kill the ones that don't survive
Genuine curiosity about how value and money move; crypto, DeFi, or payments experience is a bonus, not a gate
Comfort operating with ambiguity in an undefined, pre-product space within web3
Bonus Points
Direct experience with blockchain protocols, smart contract development, or decentralized payment rails
Familiarity with crypto-native standards bodies or agent-to-agent payment frameworks
Prior founding or early-employee experience at a crypto, DeFi, or distributed systems startup
