What You'll Be Doing
Oversee monthly reporting, financial statement reviews, and performance analysis for multiple clients.
Implement clean, scalable accounting processes to help startups stay audit- and investor-ready.
Handle bookkeeping and manage the accounts payable and invoicing process.
Partner with founders to build budgets, forecasts, and financial models that guide decision-making and growth.
Support fundraising, capital planning, and treasury management, helping teams allocate resources effectively.
Coordinate and review corporate and personal tax filings to ensure clients remain fully compliant.
Identify tax-efficient structures and operational improvements for early-stage companies.
Manage client audit and review processes, liaising with external auditors, as part of audit readiness work for clients with US and Canadian audits.
Lead or support M&A due diligence, restructuring, and financial system integrations.
Drive internal process improvements across the Convoy Finance client base.
What We're Looking For
A completed CPA designation with a degree in Accounting.
5–10 years of progressive experience in public accounting, controllership, or finance leadership.
Strong Excel skills.
Knowledge of the full accounting process.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial topics for non-finance founders.
Comfortable managing multiple client priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.
Ability to work efficiently and think quickly.
A "get it done" attitude, with the ability to learn new tools and take on CEO-facing tasks.
Bonus Points
Experience with a firm serving mid-market audit clients.
Experience working with startups or high-growth clients.
Experience with controllership work.
Experience as a COO or chief of staff at a venture-backed company.
Familiarity with QuickBooks Online, Xero, and crypto-native finance tools.
