Full-Stack Software Engineer - Compliance
About This Role
This is a foundational ownership role on our Web team, where engineers turn the complexity of compliance, smart contracts, and distributed ledger systems into product experiences that feel effortless. You'll own the onboarding and compliance platform end-to-end—defining how users establish eligibility, navigate KYC/KYB, and how internal teams investigate edge cases across a rapidly scaling decentralized finance ecosystem.
What You'll Be Doing
Own compliance-critical product surfaces from architecture and problem definition through launch and ongoing iteration
Design robust APIs, data models, and workflows that connect user-facing onboarding with internal review tooling
Translate ambiguous regulatory and policy requirements into precise, testable product logic for both customers and operations teams
Integrate third-party identity, sanctions, blockchain analytics, and fraud-detection APIs while preserving data integrity, auditability, and privacy
Architect systems that gracefully handle real-world failure modes—delayed vendor webhooks, partial outages, conflicting state, and manual review queues
Partner directly with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Product, and Design to set technical direction across the compliance platform
What We're Looking For
Senior-level full-stack engineering experience, with a track record of owning complex systems end-to-end
Strong fundamentals in backend architecture, data modeling, and API design within high-stakes, regulated environments
Comfort operating at the intersection of smart contracts, backend services, and third-party integrations
Demonstrated judgment around security, access control, and system invariants—not just feature delivery
Ability to turn ambiguous, cross-functional requirements into durable technical architecture
High-agency communicator who thrives working directly with non-engineering stakeholders like Legal and Compliance
Bonus Points
Prior experience building compliance, fraud, or risk infrastructure at a fintech or crypto company
Familiarity with blockchain analytics providers, KYC/KYB vendors, or sanctions-screening tools
Exposure to multi-chain products or onchain settlement systems
Experience designing for auditability and explainability in regulated, decentralized systems
