    "What You'll Be Doing"

    What You'll Be Doing

Own the day-to-day operating model — from trade capture through close, disclosure, and audit response — across FX and Interest Rate programs.

Lead Hedge Accounting Managers and Derivative Accountants, with ownership of hiring, org design, and workforce planning.

Drive resource planning and capacity forecasting, and hold the team accountable to delivery KPIs.

Identify and introduce AI and automation to make the team faster and more scalable, owning the practice's AI roadmap.

Set technical standards and methodology for FX and Interest Rate hedge programs, and serve as final escalation point for issues the subject matter expert can't resolve.

Set performance expectations, coach, and provide feedback that builds technical depth and delivery discipline.

Develop each Manager's technical and people leadership so routine decisions can be made without direct involvement.

Build the team's fluency with AI-enabled tools and new ways of working.

Act as the practice's technical expert on ASC 815 and IFRS 9 hedge accounting across FX and Interest Rate risk.

Serve as escalation point for novel, contested, or high-risk questions, and step personally into audit conversations when required.

Track FASB/IASB developments to keep the practice ahead of upcoming changes.

Partner with Product Management, translating insights from the practice into guidance on current and future client needs.

Represent the client's evolving needs in product planning.

Identify and lead opportunities to expand the value clients realize across Ripple's broader portfolio, beyond hedge accounting managed services.

Serve as senior escalation point for the most complex client, audit, and accounting matters.

Build strategic relationships with client treasury, accounting, and finance leadership.

Partner with Product, Implementation, and Customer Success on platform capabilities and service design, and with Sales and Renewals on growth and retention.

Represent Managed Services in internal reporting on portfolio health and performance.

    What We're Looking For

CPA and/or advanced degree in Accounting or Finance.

15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 10-12+ years in derivative instruments and hedge accounting under ASC 815/IFRS 9, spanning FX and Interest Rate risk.

7+ years managing accounting/finance teams, including experience managing managers.

Proven operational leadership of a service practice, including staffing, capacity planning, KPIs, and workflow design.

Deep, current fluency in ASC 815/IFRS 9, with the ability to independently defend complex, contested positions.

Strong grasp of FX instruments (forwards, options, cross-currency swaps) and interest rate instruments (swaps, caps, floors, collars).

A clear point of view on where AI genuinely changes service delivery, with experience evaluating and/or deploying it in an operations or accounting context.

Experience shaping a product roadmap in partnership with Product or Engineering, ideally within a software or platform business.

A track record of driving account expansion, not just protecting existing business.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to make complex conclusions accessible and hold ground with auditors and skeptical clients.

    Bonus Points

Experience with a hedge accounting platform such as Ripple Treasury, Chatham, Reval, FIS Quantum, or a comparable treasury management system is strongly preferred.

    Salary Range

    USD 248,000 - 285,000 per year
