About This Role
As Manager of Insider Trust, you'll be a true player-coach—building and leading a world-class investigations team while staying technically embedded in detection engineering and case work. This is a rare opportunity to shape insider risk strategy at a company securing trillions in onchain value across DeFi, tokenized assets, and institutional crypto infrastructure.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing Insider Trust team focused on protecting sensitive workforce and system data
Personally drive and conduct investigations into potential insider risk across smart contracts infrastructure, internal systems, and confidential data
Design and refine detection logic, monitoring pipelines, and escalation workflows tailored to insider threats
Guarantee every investigation is timely, proportionate, well-documented, and backed by defensible evidence
Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, People, IT, and Security teams throughout the investigative lifecycle
Translate findings into durable technical and process improvements that strengthen our distributed systems' security posture
Build metrics showcasing detection coverage, investigative quality, and overall program maturity
Communicate sensitive, high-stakes findings clearly to executives and technical stakeholders alike
What We're Looking For
7+ years of experience across insider risk, detection engineering, security operations, digital forensics, or incident response
2+ years managing an insider risk or investigations-focused security team
Proven ability to balance leadership responsibilities with direct technical investigation work
Deep expertise managing full investigation lifecycles—from scoping and evidence collection to documentation and escalation
Strong grounding in digital forensics, chain of custody, and incident-response coordination
Experience partnering with Legal and People teams on sensitive, high-trust workforce matters
Background working within software, fintech, crypto, or other industries handling highly sensitive data
Excellent judgment, discretion, and communication skills suited to high-trust environments
Bonus Points
Experience operating within a remote-first, globally distributed organization
Familiarity investigating data movement across cloud platforms, source-code repositories, and collaboration tools
Exposure to blockchain, crypto, or web3 ecosystems and their unique security considerations
Background supporting compliance programs tied to decentralized finance or digital asset platforms
