About This Role
This is a rare opportunity to work deep in the stack of a live EVM-based governance dApp, shaping both the smart contract integrations and the backend systems that power decentralized decision-making. You'll be joining at a pivotal moment—taking an existing system and hardening it for reliability, scale, and a successful public launch. What You'll Be Doing
Architect and refine Node.js / TypeScript backend APIs that interface directly with smart contracts on Polygon Mainnet
Integrate and troubleshoot Solidity-based governance contracts, ensuring secure and gas-efficient interactions
Build robust connections between backend services and the blockchain using viem and wagmi libraries
Support wallet connectivity and voting-related frontend features to create a seamless user experience
Collaborate closely with smart contract developers to prepare the platform for a stable, production-grade MVP release
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across the distributed ledger integration layer
What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a Senior Backend or Blockchain Engineer working with EVM-compatible chains
Strong command of Node.js and TypeScript in production environments
Hands-on experience with Polygon or similar Layer 2 distributed systems
Familiarity with viem, wagmi, or comparable Web3 libraries for contract interaction
Solid understanding of Solidity contract structures and how to integrate them into backend services
Comfortable working across both backend and lightweight frontend (wallet/voting UI) tasks
Bonus Points
Experience building or contributing to DAO tooling or on-chain governance platforms
Familiarity with the broader Polygon or Ethereum DeFi ecosystem
Exposure to decentralized voting mechanisms or token-weighted governance models
Prior work on MVP launches for crypto-native products
