Principal Product Manager - Stablecoins & Payments
About This Role
Digital Asset is building Canton Network - a privacy-first, interoperable blockchain purpose-built for institutional finance. This role puts you at the center of our stablecoins and payments strategy, translating complex requirements from banks, asset managers, and regulators into product roadmaps that power real-time, compliant settlement across decentralized rails. You'll help define what trusted crypto-native payments infrastructure looks like at scale.
What You'll Be Doing
Own the product vision and roadmap for stablecoin issuance, settlement, and payment rails on a privacy-enabled distributed ledger
Partner with engineering teams to design and ship smart contracts supporting compliant, scalable DeFi and payments use cases
Translate institutional client needs into technical specifications that balance privacy, interoperability, and regulatory compliance
Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, compliance, and business development to launch new financial products on-chain
Drive go-to-market strategy for stablecoin offerings, working closely with banking partners and liquidity providers
Analyze market trends in crypto payments and distributed finance to identify new opportunities for the Canton ecosystem
What We're Looking For
8+ years of product management experience, with direct exposure to payments, fintech, or blockchain-based products
Deep understanding of stablecoins, smart contract architecture, and decentralized settlement mechanisms
Proven track record shipping complex financial products from concept through institutional adoption
Strong communication skills, capable of bridging technical blockchain concepts with business and regulatory stakeholders
Experience navigating compliance-heavy environments like traditional finance, banking, or regulated crypto markets
Comfort operating in a fast-paced, builder-focused environment typical of web3 startups
Bonus Points
Prior experience with distributed ledger platforms, Layer 1 protocols, or privacy-preserving blockchain architectures
Familiarity with DeFi protocols, tokenization frameworks, or cross-chain interoperability solutions
Background in regulatory engagement around digital assets or central bank digital currencies (CBDCs)
Technical fluency in reading or reviewing smart contract code
