"What You'll Be Doing"
About This Role
You'll work across a broad range of creative projects, shaping how Blockchain.com looks, feels and communicates across digital and physical touchpoints — from the app and website to campaigns, brand collateral and digital assets. The company values design that feels modern, confident, considered and premium: strong typography, beautiful photography, thoughtful composition, restrained use of colour, and obsessive attention to detail. This role isn't about managing people or setting creative direction from a distance — it's about staying close to the work, bringing strong creative ideas, and producing exceptional design.
What You'll Be Doing
Design and execute high-quality creative assets across brand, marketing, digital products, web, social, presentations and other brand touchpoints.
Collaborate on the visual design and user experience of the Blockchain.com app and website, bringing a strong brand perspective to product interfaces and digital journeys.
Use photography, image selection, art direction, cropping, composition and retouching to create compelling, sophisticated visual experiences.
Create refined, intentional designs with a strong understanding of negative space, visual hierarchy, restraint and the power of a limited colour palette.
Apply an exceptional understanding of typography, from type selection and hierarchy to spacing, proportion and finer execution details.
Produce digital graphics, campaign assets and visual compositions, incorporating subtle animation or motion where it adds value.
Maintain an exceptional standard of craft, sweating the details and ensuring everything produced feels considered and beautifully finished.
Work closely with designers, marketers, product teams and other stakeholders to turn briefs into visually compelling, effective creative work.
What We're Looking For
A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual taste and execution, not just a list of completed projects.
Significant experience in brand design, visual design or art direction, with the ability to work confidently at a senior level.
A sophisticated, contemporary design sensibility, ideally with experience creating work for premium, luxury, editorial, lifestyle or technology brands.
An excellent eye for photography, composition, lighting, imagery and visual storytelling.
Deep expertise in typography, layout, hierarchy, colour and visual balance.
A natural instinct for simplicity and restraint — knowing when to take something away rather than add more.
Strong proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
Experience creating digital assets and designing for websites, apps and responsive environments.
An extremely high level of attention to detail, combined with the ability to work efficiently across multiple projects.
A proactive, self-directed approach, taking ownership and producing outstanding work without needing extensive direction.
A collaborative, low-ego mindset and genuine enthusiasm for creating great work alongside other talented people.
Bonus Points
Motion design or animation skills, particularly subtle, elegant animation of 2D assets.
