About the role
This is a Senior PHP Engineer position within a Scrum-based development environment, focused on building and delivering high-quality software using PHP as the core technology. The role is designed for an experienced engineer who brings strong PHP fundamentals and a pragmatic approach to software delivery.
Requirements
Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional, Scrum-based development teams to design, build, and deliver high-quality software solutions Develop and maintain robust, production-ready PHP features across existing and new systems Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers, contributing to their technical growth through code reviews and guidance Drive and promote best engineering practices, including test-driven development (TDD), CI/CD, and strong software design standards Participate in sprint planning, estimation, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives Requirements 5+ years of professional software development experience Strong, hands-on expertise in PHP as a primary programming language Proven ability to deliver maintainable, high-quality PHP code in production environments Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration across engineering and product teams Comfortable contributing to testing strategies and CI/CD pipelines Nice to have Experience with MySQL or other relational databases Familiarity with Laravel (beneficial, not required) Experience integrating APIs Exposure to Docker and CI/CD tooling Experience working with AWS Familiarity with NoSQL databases Some experience with JavaScript or React Prior experience leading tasks or mentoring Benefits Fixed Shifts: 12:00 PM - 9:30 PM IST (Summer) | 1:00 PM - 10:30 PM IST (Winter) No Weekend Work: Real work-life balance, not just words Day 1 Benefits: Laptop and full medical insurance provided Support That Matters:Mentorship, community, and forums where ideas are shared True Belonging: A long-term career where your contributions are valued
