We're seeking a sharp, experienced risk professional to architect and lead the U.S. risk function for a company at the forefront of corporate crypto adoption. Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll be the driving force behind how the organization measures and manages exposure across digital assets, derivatives, and distributed ledger-based instruments. This is a high-visibility seat at the table, shaping policy as the company scales its presence in the decentralized finance and digital asset space.
What You'll Be Doing
Design and lead the U.S. risk management function, covering market, liquidity, and counterparty risk across crypto and traditional holdings
Monitor and manage exposure tied to Bitcoin, digital assets, and related derivatives, including hedging strategies tied to blockchain-native instruments
Partner cross-functionally with trading, treasury, finance, and operations teams to ensure cohesive risk oversight
Build frameworks and reporting tools to track volatility, counterparty exposure, and smart contracts-related settlement risk
Advise senior stakeholders and the CFO on strategic decisions involving crypto derivatives and DeFi-adjacent positions
Establish scalable policies and procedures that support long-term growth of the firm's digital asset strategy
What We're Looking For
7+ years of experience in risk management, ideally spanning derivatives, crypto, or traditional capital markets
Deep understanding of market and liquidity risk principles applied to volatile asset classes like Bitcoin and digital tokens
Familiarity with blockchain infrastructure, smart contracts, and how decentralized systems impact counterparty risk
Strong communication skills to translate complex risk concepts for executive and cross-departmental audiences
Proven ability to build processes and frameworks from scratch in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related field; advanced certifications (FRM, CFA) a plus

Direct experience managing risk for corporate treasury Bitcoin holdings
Hands-on exposure to DeFi protocols, crypto derivatives exchanges, or digital asset custody solutions
Background working with trading desks on hedging strategies for distributed ledger assets
