Senior Software Engineer CCIP

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the CCIP Protocol team, building the backend systems that enable fast, fault-tolerant cross-chain transactions. What You'll Be Doing
Architect and evolve backend services that enable secure, reliable cross-chain message execution across distributed ledger ecosystems
Harden protocol reliability for EVM-based chains, embedding security-first design into every layer of the system
Slash cross-chain transaction latency by optimizing RPC usage and protocol-level performance
Build internal tooling that accelerates root-cause diagnosis and incident resolution in production environments
Drive protocol security initiatives that reinforce CCIP's resilience against adversarial threats
Collaborate in technical design reviews shaping the long-term architecture and scalability of our smart contracts and interoperability stack
What We're Looking For
Strong backend engineering background in Go, Rust, or TypeScript
Proven experience shipping software within crypto, web3, or remote-first engineering teams
Track record designing distributed systems with security and resilience as core principles
Experience operating production backend systems with a focus on uptime and operational excellence
Comfort engaging in rigorous technical design discussions and influencing architectural decisions
Bonus Points
Deep familiarity with DeFi protocols and the broader decentralized application landscape
Experience with cloud infrastructure, containerized workloads, and public cloud platforms
Hands-on work with blockchain bridges or other interoperability protocols
Understanding of bridge-specific attack vectors and smart contract security risks
Exposure to non-EVM ecosystems such as Solana, Aptos, or Canton
