    "About The Role"

    About This Role

Overclock Labs is building the Akash Network, an open protocol enabling anyone to provide or consume cloud compute in a permissionless, decentralized marketplace. As the internet shifts toward distributed ledger-powered infrastructure in a space projected to surpass $2 trillion by 2030, this role sits at the thrilling convergence of crypto, AI, and decentralized compute—offering genuine ownership over protocol-defining work.

    What You'll Be Doing

Engineer and maintain critical Go-based features across the Akash blockchain node and provider daemon

Architect, test, and deploy network upgrades, rigorously validating on testnet before mainnet execution

Troubleshoot provider-side complexities in Kubernetes, spanning networking, gateways, and workload orchestration across a distributed, independently-run provider fleet

Maintain gRPC and protobuf API schemas powering seamless node-provider communication

Draft feature specifications and technical documentation that empower developers and providers across the decentralized ecosystem

Contribute to closed-source innovations like Akash Homenode and AkashML, pushing smart contract and infrastructure boundaries

    What We're Looking For

    Proven, production-grade Go development experience

Deep hands-on Kubernetes expertise—debugging live workloads, networking, and cluster-level issues

Strong systems design knowledge applicable to distributed, fault-tolerant architectures

Comfort operating in an open-source, transparent development environment

Ability to think adversarially about attack vectors and failure scenarios within decentralized systems

Excellent written communication for specs, upgrade guides, and cross-team collaboration

    Bonus Points

Prior experience contributing to blockchain protocols, DeFi platforms, or smart contract ecosystems

Familiarity with crypto-native infrastructure, consensus mechanisms, or Web3 tooling

Experience releasing and versioning node/provider software at scale

Exposure to AI workload orchestration within distributed compute environments

    Why Join Us

Competitive compensation with meaningful upside in a high-growth blockchain ecosystem

Fully remote, distributed-first culture built for autonomy and deep work

Direct impact shaping the future of decentralized cloud infrastructure used industry-wide

Continuous learning at the cutting edge of Web3, AI, and permissionless compute innovation
