What You'll Be Doing
Design, develop, and deploy Vault Smart Contracts using Python, applying rigorous logic akin to smart contract development in web3 environments
Build and extend Contracts API / Vault API integrations, handling posting instructions, balances, and multi-dimensional data structures
Implement scheduled events, hooks, and lifecycle management processes that mirror the automation found in decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols
Develop interest accrual and application logic with precision and auditability
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to test, validate, and harden complex financial business logic
Translate banking product requirements into scalable, secure, and well-documented contract code
What We're Looking For
Strong software development background, ideally with solid Python experience
Hands-on expertise building Thought Machine Vault Smart Contracts
Deep understanding of Vault Core architecture — including Contracts API, posting instructions, balances, dimensions, and hooks
Proven experience writing and testing intricate business logic in regulated or high-stakes environments
Solid grasp of banking products and how they translate into programmable logic
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to debug and optimize distributed, rule-driven systems
Bonus Points
Prior exposure to blockchain, crypto, or decentralized application development
Familiarity with smart contract principles from Ethereum, Solidity, or other distributed ledger ecosystems
Experience working within fintech or next-gen digital banking platforms
Understanding of DeFi-style automation and event-driven architecture
