What You'll Be Doing
Build and operate Go backend services that list and settle event contracts around the clock.
Migrate existing workflows from Python/Airflow to Go services and durable job processing.
Develop data integrations with sports and market providers, handling retries, duplicates, and late-arriving data carefully.
Implement settlement rules and edge cases—including corrections, cancellations, and voided markets—backed by thorough test coverage.
Contribute to design documents and code reviews, owning features from initial design through production deployment.
Build operator tools using React/TypeScript to support manual listing, settlement, and approval workflows.
Participate in on-call rotations and help debug production issues end to end.
What We're Looking For
3–5+ years of experience building production backend services.
Proficiency in Go, or strong experience in another backend language with a clear willingness to work primarily in Go.
Hands-on Postgres experience, including schema design, writing efficient queries, transactions, and migrations.
Understanding of concurrency, idempotency, and failure handling in distributed systems.
A track record of shipping and running services independently.
Clear communication skills and an interest in growing into technical leadership.
Bonus Points
Experience with prediction markets, sportsbooks, exchanges, or sports data feeds.
Experience with payments, ledgers, or other money-related systems.
Familiarity with Redis, Kafka, or Postgres-backed job queues such as River or similar tools.
Experience with Python and Airflow.
Experience with React/TypeScript.
Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD.
Startup experience.
