    Role/Department:


    The Specialist Product Manager, Digital Asset Solutions is responsible for executing the strategy of Northern Trust's Global Product Management Office for the digital asset product suite. The role focuses on driving product commercialization, innovation, and lifecycle management initiatives to support the growth of the digital asset servicing business alongside the traditional asset servicing offering. Working closely with Product, Technology, Operations, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Sales, and Relationship Management teams, the successful candidate will deliver market-leading digital asset solutions, enhance client outcomes, and contribute to revenue growth.

    The key responsibilities of the role include:


    Product Strategy & Innovation

    • Execute the strategy and roadmap for Northern Trust's global digital asset product portfolio.
    • Identify market trends, competitive developments, and emerging opportunities within the digital assets ecosystem.
    • Translate platform capabilities, data, reporting, and services into differentiated client solutions.
    • Support product innovation initiatives and represent Northern Trust at industry forums and client engagements.

    Stakeholder Leadership & Commercialization

    • Partner with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align on product priorities and strategic decisions.
    • Collaborate with Sales and Relationship Management teams to support client opportunities and business growth.
    • Develop business cases, investment proposals, pricing strategies, and commercialization plans for new and existing products.
    • Drive revenue growth by identifying and delivering innovative digital asset servicing solutions.

    Product Execution & Governance

    • Lead end-to-end product lifecycle activities, including product development, launches, enhancements, and post-launch assessments.
    • Define target client segments and evaluate market opportunities to support strategic growth objectives.
    • Oversee product governance, risk management, controls, dependencies, and performance outcomes.
    • Monitor product success metrics and make recommendations to optimize client experience and commercial performance.

    Skills/Qualifications:
    The successful candidate will benefit from having:



    • Proven experience within financial services, including significant product management, product strategy, digital product, or technology delivery experience.
    • Strong understanding of digital asset technologies and solutions, including Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), tokenization, Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), stablecoins, and related digital asset infrastructure.
    • In-depth knowledge of asset servicing products and capabilities, including custody, cash management, fund services, and related solutions.
    • Experience developing product roadmaps, managing product lifecycles, and delivering new product launches.
    • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive outcomes across complex, matrixed organizations.
    • Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
    • Commercially minded with experience in pricing strategy, investment prioritization, and business case development.
    • Experience building and scaling digital asset solutions within a global financial institution.
    • Deep understanding of the evolving digital assets marketplace, regulatory landscape, and industry trends.
    • Experience partnering with Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Commercial teams to deliver innovative client solutions.
    • Strong strategic thinking capabilities combined with a focus on execution and delivery.
    • Demonstrated success leading product commercialization and revenue growth initiatives.
    • Experience representing an organization externally through industry forums, conferences, and client engagements.
    • Ability to balance innovation, governance, risk management, and commercial objectives in a highly regulated environment.
    • Passion for digital assets, emerging technologies, and transforming the future of asset servicing.
