    About This Role

We're assembling a world-class financial crimes team to tackle fraud and illicit activity at the frontier of digital assets. As an AML Investigator, you'll apply traditional investigative rigor to a rapidly evolving crypto and blockchain landscape, protecting our users and the broader DeFi ecosystem while helping define what compliance looks like in Web3.

    What You'll Be Doing

Investigate suspicious activity across crypto transactions, wallets, and smart contract interactions to identify money laundering, fraud, and other financial crimes

Build and refine detection methodologies tailored to blockchain-based transaction patterns and decentralized protocols

Prepare detailed case files and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) that meet regulatory standards across multiple jurisdictions

Collaborate cross-functionally with compliance, legal, and engineering teams to strengthen our distributed ledger monitoring systems

Stay ahead of emerging typologies in crypto crime, including mixer usage, cross-chain laundering, and DeFi exploitation tactics

Partner with law enforcement and regulatory bodies on investigations tied to digital asset misuse

    What We're Looking For

2+ years of experience in AML, financial crimes investigations, or fraud analysis—crypto or fintech experience strongly preferred

Solid understanding of blockchain fundamentals, transaction tracing, and on-chain analytics tools

Familiarity with BSA/AML regulations and SAR filing processes

Sharp analytical mindset with the ability to connect patterns across complex, high-volume data sets

Excellent written communication skills for documenting investigative findings clearly and concisely

Comfort operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where crypto regulations are still taking shape

    Bonus Points

Experience with blockchain forensic tools like Chainalysis, TRM Labs, or Elliptic

Certifications such as CAMS, CFE, or CFCS

Background investigating DeFi protocols, smart contract exploits, or decentralized exchange activity

Prior experience at a crypto exchange, fintech, or financial institution

    Why Join Us

Competitive compensation package with equity upside tied to our growth in the digital asset space

Flexible, collaborative culture that values bold thinking and ownership

Direct impact on building safer, more trustworthy infrastructure for the future of decentralized finance

Continuous learning opportunities as you grow alongside an industry-defining blockchain and crypto platform
